The Marketing Coordinator is a part of the Marketing team responsible for promoting National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy’s (NBCOT) brand, products, and services. This role focuses on supporting a variety of marketing initiatives to enhance brand awareness, engage stakeholders, and drive organizational goals to elevate NBCOT and Why Choose OT’s brand awareness, engagement, and community growth across all major platforms and channels.
Essential Functions:
  • Creates engaging and high-performing content across all platforms and channels. 
  • Contributes to managing the social media calendar by scheduling posts, monitoring interactions, compiling performance metrics, and ensuring a consistent flow of content across platforms.
  • Collaborates with the marketing team in the development and execution of marketing materials and campaigns by organizing assets, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring alignment across touchpoints such as social media, email, print, and presentations.
  • Uses data and analytics to help inform marketing decisions and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Plans and executes marketing events, managing registrations, preparing materials, and providing on-site or virtual support.
  • Assists in organizing and maintaining the organization’s digital asset library, including visual and multimedia content, ensuring proper categorization and accessibility.
  • Supports photo and video shoots by coordinating with internal teams and vendors and assisting with conducting interviews with Occupational Therapy (OT) professionals and students for future content creation.
  • Proactively monitors brand mentions, responds to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, and fosters positive online communities.
  • Tracks marketing metrics, compiles performance reports, and identifies trends to support marketing improvements.
  • And other job-related responsibilities as needed to support NBCOT’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualification and Requirements (knowledge, skills, and experience):
  • Required Degree Level: Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
  • Required Experience: 1 to 2 years experience in marketing, communications, or related roles.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite.
  • Intermediate knowledge of creator software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud: specifically, InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Acrobat, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, Cap Cut, and newly emerging technology.
  • Hands-on experience with social media applications and platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Experience with email marketing automation platforms.
  • Effective communication, writing, and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated success in setting up and converting metrics to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with high-level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Work location: remote (based in the US) or hybrid (headquarters in Gaithersburg, Maryland).
  • Work schedule: 35 hours per week.
  • Travel (domestic): approximately 10% of the year and may vary slightly depending upon need.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000/year.
